You will find Linscombe at the following Farmers' Markets...
Farmers Markets are where farmers, growers and producers from the local area sell their produce directly to the consumer. A firm favourite way of shopping with many of our customers as it is hard to beat the atmosphere of a good Farmers’ Market and certainly impossible to imitate it! Many of our customers swap recipe ideas with other customers as they choose their vegetables and its easy to strike up a conversation with someone in the queue as you know you at least have an interest in good food in common.
We attend the Markets in the Town Square in Crediton on the 1st Saturday of every month (plus the special Christmas Market). Since the Town Square re-development was finished in June 2006, this must rank amongst the best sited Farmer’s Markets in the country and also gives customers the opportunity to browse the products offered by the other 30 local stallholders and visit the plentiful small shops that have managed to survive in this traditional, community-oriented small market town. Crediton won the Best Farmers’ Market of the year Award in 2005.
We can also be found every week on Thursdays at South Street/Fore Street in Exeter City Centre, one of the busiest Farmers’ Markets in the South West where the country really does come to town and customers can choose from a wide range of local produce. We also go to Exmouth Farmers’ Market, on the Strand, on the 2nd Wednesday of the month.
With their individual characters and authentic appeal, whichever of the Farmers’ Markets you choose to visit us at, you can be assured of the choice of the best possible seasonal produce without having to step inside a supermarket or worry about the air miles that your food may have traveled.
And finally…….
Visiting Linscombe FarmWe host farm walks for our customers – please contact us for details of the next scheduled farm walk. We also host farm walks for other groups, such as gardening clubs, schools and colleges and any other interested parties. However, please bear in mind, we don’t have a farm shop, and are not "open to visitors" as a general rule. We have a very busy farm yard area which basically means it is not a safe environment for the general public, so please ensure you visit by prior arrangement only.
Thank you.
