Linscombe Farm has received “Silver” in the national Soil Association Box Scheme of the Year Award. This comes as the farm celebrates its 10th year of producing “Local Food for Local People” through the direct sales of over 300 varieties of 100% Home Produced organic vegetables. Linscombe Farm was a joint winner last time they entered this hotly contested competition five years ago and were also selected to be the Soil Association’s first Composting and Soil Management Demonstration Farm. Proprietors? Phil and Helen Thomas said “This National Award is further recognition that what we are doing locally is still of great significance at a national level. At a time when even the major supermarkets are trying to tap into the Box Scheme market, it is great to know that a family run local farm business can still be amongst the best in the country.”
